Carlos Gámez is responsible for revenue-generation strategy and execution. His duties include overseeing the sales organization, marketing, and partner channels to execute the company strategy and achieve revenue goals.
Before joining Frontline Managed Services, Carlos spent a decade at Thomson Reuters where he held roles in business development, strategy, legal operations, corporate development, product strategy, platform design, innovation, and leading strategic commercial initiatives. During this time, he was involved with a wide range of projects that included developing product and commercial strategies, executing company acquisitions, and creating and leading over 50 strategic project teams. His work was frequently done in close partnership with stakeholders across the enterprise, as well as with law firm and corporate legal department customers, startups, academic institutions, and legal industry associations.
Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Carlos worked with startups in different capacities in Silicon Valley. Before that, he practiced intellectual property law in one of Mexico’s leading law firms.
Carlos frequently writes on topics of the global legal industry, legal technologies and innovation management, including as a contributor to legalevolution.org. He regularly speaks on these topics across the globe by invitation of organizations such as International Legal Technology Association (ILTA), International Bar Association (IBA), American Bar Association (ABA), Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC), Legal Geek, and Stanford-Codex, among others. He is a visiting professor at IE Law School, a mentor for Techstars, and a division head and coach for his local little league baseball organization.
He holds a bachelor’s in law (LL. B.) from the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey (Mexico), obtained an LL. M. at Stanford Law School, and an MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
